Josh Maja moves across La Manche
Josh Maja, 24, showcased his talent with 16 goals and six assists last season in Ligue 1 and during the summer transfer window has penned a three-year contract with Premier League side West Bromwich Albion as a free agent, marking a significant milestone in his career after a successful stint in south-west France. According to Transfermarkt his transfer value is estimated at 5 million Euros.
Essien Edem signs with Russian side Pari NN
In a strategic move to strengthen their midfield, Russian Premier League Side FC Pari Nizhny Novgorod have announced the signing of Nigerian defensive midfielder Essien Edem, 25, from Al-Akhdar SC in Libya. The deal sees the talented defensive midfielder join the Russian club until the end of the season as a free transfer. Nigeria U-20 international striker has put a pen down on a 3-year deal with an extension option for another possible year. The move seems logical seeing Fago demonstrated his readiness for another competition level during FIFA U-20 World Cup 2023 that recently took place in Argentina. The striker has taken part in all 5 games for his side.
Solomon Agbalaka joins PFC Sochi on loan
Another Russian club made a move and then sign a talented Nigerian. Transfer to FC Sochi on loan from Broad City Fc is expected to provide Solomon Agbalaka with a valuable opportunity to develop his skills and gain valuable experience in the highly competitive Russian Premier league. Nigerian goal machine signs with Montpellier
After netting 17 goals in equal number of games for Lillestrom in Norway it was only a matter of time for Akor Adams’ promotion. French side Montpellier have signed the striker reportedly for €5.5 mln and signed a personal contract with the striker for 4 years.
Ruben Shakpoke gets his chance at West Brom
In August West Bromwich Albion have announced the signing of Ruben Shakpoke, son of former Nigeria international defender Jero, has signed a deal for one year with extending option for another year which can be triggered by the club. Ruben was on trial with the Baggies and managed to impress the Academy manager Richard Stevens.
