Power Dynamos FC is in advanced negotiations to sign Malawian international Chifundo Mphasi from Shamuel Academy, as per Bola News.ย
The 19-year-old midfielder, who recently completed a season-long loan with Kabwe Warriors, has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Power Dynamos, known as Aba Yellow.
Mphasi, who was notably absent from Kabwe Warriors’ pre-season training in the western province, is expected to be unveiled by Power Dynamos once contractual agreements are finalized. His potential move follows a productive season with the Warriors, where he contributed eight assists, helping the team secure a top-five finish in the MTN Super League.
Last year, Mphasi nearly transferred to an Israeli club, but the deal fell through. Despite ongoing negotiations for a permanent stay at Kabwe Warriors, sources indicate that a move to Power Dynamos is more likely.
Mphasi also made headlines on the international stage, inspiring Malawi to a 1-0 victory over Liberia in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. His signing would be a significant addition to Power Dynamos’ squad as they prepare for the upcoming season.
