Since moving to Turkey, Yaw Ackah has often found himself in controversial situations: bans on participating in matches, termination of loan agreements, and a whole season in the First League. Nevertheless, the current team’s trust and a renewed contract signed in the summer could assist the talented midfielder in relaunching his European career.
What is Yaw Ackah’s salary at Kayserispor?
The Ghanaian midfielder joined the Turkish team in the summer of 2020. Despite setbacks and frequent loans, the club extended the contract in the summer of 2023: the new agreement runs until June 30, 2026. Over three years in Turkey, Ackah will earn €2,100,000 excluding bonuses. For the 2023/2024 season, he will earn €700,000, amounting to €13,462 per week.

Market Value: Growth After Loan Return
During the 2019/2020 season, the young Ghanaian shone at Boavista F.C. and moved to Turkey, with his transfer value not only tripling but also reaching its peak. However, he couldn’t immediately play in the new league: first, a ban on playing for Kayserispor, then, termination of the loan agreement with Erzurumspor F.K., and a whole year in the second-tier division. Due to several unsuccessful seasons, Ackah’s transfer value dropped by more than half. Nonetheless, in the 22/23 season, the midfielder returned to Kayserispor, impressed the coaching staff, secured a new contract, and his value increased by 1.5 times. Currently, Transfermarkt estimates Yaw Ackah’s transfer value at €600,000.

National Team History
In 2019, Yaw Ackah was named in the preliminary squad of the Ghanaian U-23 national team for the Africa Cup of Nations. However, he did not make it to the final squad. Additionally, the Ghanaian has never been called up to the senior national team.
Football and Financial Prospects
In the 2023/2024 season, Yaw Ackah does not have a permanent place in the starting lineup: he has spent almost half of the matches on the bench. Since the beginning of February, the Ghanaian has not stepped onto the field. During this time, the Ghanaian midfielder managed to provide one assist in the Turkish Cup game against Vanspor FK. If Ackah manages to solidify his position in the team and starts getting more playing time, there is a possibility that the young Ghanaian will attract the attention of stronger clubs.
