The Nigeria striker was named Man of the Match after helping the Turkish champions secure an important victory following earlier setbacks in the competition.
Osimhen credited Galatasaray’s supporters for their backing throughout the match and praised his team-mates for their collective performance.
“They never stopped screaming from the blast of the whistle to the very end,” he said.
“After our setback in this year’s Champions League, I think this game was a do-or-die for us to try to get back on track.”
Despite receiving the individual award, Osimhen insisted the result mattered more than personal recognition.
“The whole squad did an amazing job, so I dedicate the Man of the Match award to all of them,” he added.
The victory gives Galatasaray renewed confidence as they look to strengthen their position in the Champions League and maintain their push for progress in Europe.
