Zambian goalkeeper Cyril Mwenya Chibwe is set to make a move as he confirms his departure from Zesco United in the Zambian Super League.
Having made his Chipolopolo debut in 2019 and earning ten caps for Zambia, Chibwe, who was excluded from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations squad, revealed that he will be returning to South Africa, where several clubs have shown interest in signing him.
Several sources told The Nerve Africa that with only five months left on his contract with Zesco, Chibwe is reportedly in talks with South Africa’s Polokwane City, while Sekhukhune United is also expressing interest.
Additionally, sources close to the player mention ongoing discussions between his agent and clubs in Asia. Despite facing a lack of game time at Zesco this season, Chibwe’s move is anticipated to provide him with new opportunities on the field.
