Towards the end of the summer transfer window, West Ham United unexpectedly signed one of the most talented Ghanaian footballers, Mohammed Kudus. After the move to West Ham, it was reported by Goal.com that the Ghanaian star  was initially set to join another London club – Chelsea. The player’s agent, Jen Mendelewitsch, stated that the deal with the Blues didn’t go through due to a subpar offer to Ajax. “We reached an agreement with Chelsea, we agreed to the contract with Chelsea, but the deal was not completed. He spoke with the coach, but in the end, it didn’t happen because Chelsea made a ridiculous offer to Ajax. There was no counter offer. Chelsea did this with lots of players this summer, making very low offers to clubs, knowing that they would not be accepted.”
