The Saints have made it clear they will only entertain a permanent sale for Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana, according toSky Sports News.
Despite interest from clubs like Ajax, Genoa, and Nantes, who prefer a loan deal, the Saints are standing firm, valuing the player at the Β£16.8 million (β¬20 million) they initially paid Benfica last summer.
The 21-year-old has become an integral part of Ivan Juric’s plans in recent weeks, and the club sees no reason to let him leave on a temporary basis. Southampton, however, are looking to streamline their squad during the January transfer window, with several players, including Ben Brereton Diaz, Maxwel Cornet, Kyle Walker-Peters, and left-backs Ryan Manning or Charlie Taylor, more likely to move.

Brereton Diaz, who has drawn interest from Sheffield United, Sunderland, and Blackburn, could be available on loan. However, Southampton insist any deal must include an obligation to buy if the purchasing club earns promotion. Meanwhile, Cornet could be recalled by West Ham, while Walker-Peters, in the final six months of his contract, is reportedly on the radar of Brighton and Leicester.
Southamptonβs firm stance on Sulemana signals their desire to retain key assets while navigating their rebuild under Juric. The next steps for the club will be closely watched as the January transfer window heats up.
