Santos Futebol Clube has confirmed the signing of Gambian forward Yusupha Njie on a loan deal from Qatari club Al-Markhiya, as per the Brazilian clubโs official website.ย
The loan agreement will keep him at Santos until June 30, 2025.
Yusupha, 30, started his professional career in 2014 with Real de Banjul in Gambia. He soon moved to Morocco to play for FUS Rabat before making a significant impact in Portugal with Boavista.ย
Over six seasons in Europe, he became a key player, making 109 appearances and scoring 36 goals, which also earned him a spot on the Gambian national team.ย
In 2023, Yusupha transferred to Al-Markhiya, where he continued to impress by scoring 10 goals and providing four assists in 26 matches.
