Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah will stay at Olympique Lyonnais after a proposed transfer to Fulham fell through, as per Goal.com.
According to sports media outlet the 20-year-old disappeared following his medical exam, leaving the deal unfinished. Lyon would have received β¬19 million from the Premier League club, but Nuamah was unwilling to leave OL, where he has expressed his happiness.
Nuamah, who joined Lyon in 2023 from FC NordsjΓ¦lland for β¬28 million, has settled well in France and was reportedly looking to buy a home in Lyon. He skipped the final stages of his medical with Fulham, a decision that prompted Lyonβs owner, John Textor, to issue a letter of apology, reassuring the player of his place at the club.
Nuamah dreams of playing European football with Lyon and had no interest in moving to the Premier League. Despite missing Lyon’s recent match against Strasbourg, he featured in the teamβs first two games of the season and made 39 appearances last season, scoring seven goals and providing three assists.
