Nigerian midfielder Mubarak Suleiman has signed a new long-term contract with Slavia Prague, keeping him at the Czech club until 2031.
The 19-year-old joined Slavia from Nigeria’s Right2Win Academy during the 2025-26 season and has quickly progressed into the first-team setup.
Suleiman, who can play in midfield or on the wing, has attracted interest from clubs in Germany and Belgium after making an impression with his technical ability and attacking threat.
Right2Win Academy CEO and Suleiman’s adviser Kelechi Nnorom said Slavia moved quickly to secure the teenager’s future.
โThere was a lot of interest in the player from top clubs in Germany and Belgium, but the club views him as an important part of their future plans,โ Nnorom told Footy-Africa.
โHe has worked extremely hard since his promotion to the first team, and we are very proud of his progress.โ
Suleiman has scored once and provided one assist in four appearances so far this season. Since arriving in Prague, he has made 34 appearances across Slavia’s youth and senior teams, scoring 10 goals and adding four assists.
The new contract gives Suleiman a long-term platform to continue his development and establish himself in Slavia’s first team, with Nnorom also hoping he can eventually earn a Nigeria call-up.
