Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo has expressed his elation after signing a contract extension with Swedish top-flight football club Elfsborg, as per Football Ghana.
Baidoo conveyed his excitement following the club’s announcement of his extended tenure, now set through the 2027 season.
“It’s a very good feeling! I’ve been here for two years now, and it feels great to sign an extension,” remarked Michael on his continued association with the club.
Since his arrival in January 2022 from Norwegian side Sandnes Ulf, the 24-year-old has emerged as a standout performer for the Yellow and Blacks, showcasing remarkable consistency and skill on the field. According to Transfermarkt the player’s current market value is estimated at €2,5 million.
Baidoo’s impact has been evident over the past two seasons, where he has demonstrated versatility and prowess, tallying an impressive record of 14 goals and 9 assists across 54 competitive matches.
In the recently concluded Swedish league season, Baidoo’s contributions were instrumental, featuring in 28 games, finding the net 5 times, and providing 6 assists.
With this contract extension, Elfsborg solidifies the presence of a talented midfielder who has become an integral part of their squad.
