An already-engaged Nottingham Forest trialist, Lamin Sillah of Steve Biko FC, has been enquired about by the 2021 English Premier League champions, Liverpool FC, as per The Nerve Africa sources.Β
Lamin travelled to Nottingham last week and has since been engaged with the club for two weeks. However, he has received an enquiry from Liverpool about a possible training session with the team.
The 19-year-old has had an impressive campaign in the Gambian Premier League, scoring 14 goals and providing 3 assists in all competitions for his club.
His standout performance over the season has also earned him a place in the new setup of the Gambia U20 national team, which is preparing for the CAF and WAFU championships in Liberia in 2024.
The young, speedy, and powerful striker has been tipped to become the next Adama Bojang, who is popularly known as the Gambian Hurricane after his impressive outings with the U20 team at the last Youth AFCON and World Cup, respectively.
Lamin hopes to follow in Adama’s footsteps and become the second player in the history of Gambian football to secure a direct deal from the nation’s leagues to one of Europe’s top five leagues, given the latest interest from Nottingham, Liverpool, and the speculated interest from Leicester City FC.
