Leicester City has turned down a loan proposal from Real Betis for Championship side striker Patson Daka, according to The Nerve Africa source.
Daka’s potential move to Real Betis became a subject of speculation after a failed transfer attempt to Bournemouth last year on the deadline day. Real Betis recently approached Leicester with a loan deal, but the English club swiftly rejected the offer. According to Transfermarkt the Zambian’s market value is estimated at €14 million.
Sources from The Nerve Africa indicate that manager Enzo Maresca has been instructed to sell a player to generate funds for new acquisitions. Consequently, loaning out Daka is not an option, as it could potentially weaken the squad.
While talks between Real Betis and Leicester City continue, it’s clear that the English club is standing firm in their decision not to accept a loan deal for the talented forward.
