Ugandan starlet Abasi Kyeyune has officially completed his move to Egyptian Premier League club Cleopatra Ceramica, as per the clubβs official social media platforms.Β
Earlier, The Nerve Africa had reported that the two sides had reached an agreement for the young midfielder to join Cleopatra Ceramica from Uganda Premier League champions SC Villa.Β
The deal, now fully finalized, sees the 19-year-old sign a permanent contract with the Egyptian side. Kyeyune, who was pivotal in Uganda’s impressive silver-medal finish at the 2024 All-Africa Games, will begin his tenure at Cleopatra Ceramica ahead of the 2024/25 season.
The talented midfielder had caught the attention of several top clubs in Africa following his stellar performance at the All-Africa Games, where he contributed two goals and five assists for Uganda’s U-20 team.Β
During his time at SC Villa, Kyeyune played 21 matches, scoring one goal and assisting five times.
