Patrick Kpozo’s representative, Mamu Lomidze, has exclusively stated to The Nerve Africa that the Ghanaian left-back has totally earned the contract extension at Czech club Banik Ostrava and is pleased with inking a new deal.
The 27-year-old initially joined Ostrava in June 2023 on a two-year deal, but after one season, the club extended his contract until 2026.
The former AIK player has been a mainstay at the club, making 33 league appearances and scoring three goals.
“The contract extension was made because he performed very well for this club. He had one year left on his contract, but they really wanted to extend it because they count on Patrick,” Mamu told The Nerve Africa.
“He’s one of the best players on the team and one of the best left-backs in the Czech Republic. Patrick feels very good in the league. Everybody is happy. It is Patrick’s dream to return to the national team,” he added.
Kpozo has made one appearance for the Black Stars so far.
