Zambian midfielder Kelvin Kapumbu’s agent is in talks with three clubs, hoping to secure a deal for the defensive midfielder, as per The Nerve Africa sources.
Kapumbu was released last month by Israel’s second-division club Hapoel Petah Tikva, just two months after signing with them from Zesco United for a season, with an option to extend.
The 28-year-old, represented by Next-Gen Sports Agency, signed with the Israeli club on July 30, 2024, ahead of the 2024-25 season.
He played only seven games for the club, three of which were in the Leumit League.
The reasons for his release have not yet been revealed; however, the club’s fans implied that he was not good enough.
Sources close to the player revealed to Nerve Africa that his agent is in talks with three clubs, two in Israel and one in Europe, to secure a move for him. Kapumbu has no intention of returning to Zambia, as he wants to continue his career abroad.
“His team is in talks with the three clubs and hoping to find a solution because Kapumbu does not want to return to Zambia,” a source told Nerve Africa.
