Gambia U20 midfielder Alieu Gibba is close to joining Estonian Premium Liga club Paide Linnameeskond from Real de Banjul FC several sources told thenerveafrica.com.
The 2004-born who has an unknown market value is tips to sign a short-term contract with Paide with an option for another.
Gibba was a key part of the Real de Banjul FC squad that was crowned the champions of the 2022/23 Gambia First Division League ending a nine-year wait since they last won the title in 2014.
The young star was also part of the Gambia’s squad that finished as runners-up in the U20 AFCON tournament in Egypt in 2023 before an ultimate qualification to the World Cup which he missed out on in Argentina earlier this year.
Gibba would become the 12th player from the Gambia’s youth team to sign for a club in abroad this summer.
