In a move that marks a new chapter in his career, the young Ghanaian forward Daniel Owusu has completed a permanent transfer to FC Samtredia, one of Georgia’s football clubs, according to Ghana Soccernet.
The transfer follows Owusu’s journey with Austrian giants FC Red Bull Salzburg, where he honed his skills from 2021 following his move from WAFA SC, a prominent football academy in Ghana.
Despite not making a professional debut with Salzburg’s main team, the 21-year-old attacker gained considerable experience and exposure through several loan spells across Austrian football clubs including FC Liefering, SV Horn, Vienna, and SKU Amstetten. Throughout these stints, Owusu racked up a total of 38 appearances.
Owusu’s time at Salzburg also featured contributions to the club’s Youth League team, where he made five appearances during the 2021-22 season, demonstrating his capabilities on an international youth stage.
