Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Martin Antwi is set to join Indian Premier League giants Coromandel FC, The Nerve Africa can confirm.
The 30-year-old midfielder has been without a club for over a year. Antwi brings a wealth of experience to Coromandel FC and is expected to strengthen the clubβs midfield in the Indian Premier League.
Sources close to the playerβs camp indicate that he is likely to sign a two-year deal.
Speaking about the move, his agent said: βThis is a life-changing opportunity for Martin Antwi. It marks his first move outside Africa, and considering he has been out of active football for the last 18 months, signing with Coromandel FC is a significant boost to his football career.β
Antwi was reportedly encouraged to move to India after consulting with other Ghanaian players currently playing there.
The midfielder has previously played for WAFA, Asante Kotoko, and Nsoatreman in Ghana and had a stint in Guinea with Club Industriel de Kamsar.
