The 19-year-old forward, who recently underwent a trial with Denmark’s AC Horsens in December 2023 without securing a position, is determined to leave a lasting impression with the Yellows.
Manneh’s prowess on the pitch caught the attention of Mjallby IF’s coaching staff during a friendly match against Danish side B93 on Saturday, where he not only showcased his skills but also found the back of the net. The head coach of MjΓ€llby, impressed with Manneh’s performance, described him as a “brutal” according to The Nerve Africa sources.
“Manneh is doing well. He is well-trained, plays easily, and has a good physique. He is also brutal in the pressing game and is a striker who takes advantage of his chances,” stated the coach.
Having faced challenges in securing a position during his trial with AC Horsens, Manneh is eager to capitalize on this opportunity with Mjallby IF. The Gambia U23 player’s determination and notable skills have positioned him as a potential asset for the Swedish outfit, and his performance in the recent friendly match has undoubtedly bolstered his chances of earning a spot with the team.
As Manneh continues to impress on the field, all eyes are on his journey with Mjallby IF and the prospect of seeing him don the Yellow jersey in the upcoming season.
