Marimoo Pakfood’s rising star midfielder Sulayman Jammeh has opted against joining Albanian club Bylis FC after negotiations over contract terms hit a snag, according to The Nerve Africa sources.
Despite a month-long training stint with Bylis’s youth team, Jammeh, at just 17 years old, has returned to his parent club in The Gambia.
Sources close to the situation revealed to The Nerve Africa that the impasse arose from the inability to agree on the duration of the contract. Jammeh, who showcased his prowess by netting 9 goals in 27 appearances during the 2023 GFF First Division League season, found himself at an impasse with Bylis over the terms of his contract.
Scheduled to join Bylis in January, the young midfielder’s return to Marimoo Pakfood marks a temporary setback in his aspirations to play abroad. Despite his undeniable talent, Jammeh’s future remains uncertain as he navigates the intricacies of professional negotiations.
Having spent the last four seasons making waves in the Gambian top-flight league, Jammeh’s decision to decline the offer from Bylis keeps him rooted in familiar territory for the time being.
