Gambian football star Lamin Jarjou is set to embark on a new chapter in his career as he joins Kazakhstan Premier League side FC Atyrau on a six-month loan deal from Grenoble Foot 38, as per The Nerve Africa.
This move comes after Jarjou’s controversial transfer from Sudanese club Al Hilal SC to Grenoble Foot 38 amidst the unrest in Sudan last year. Despite spending only seven months with the French outfit, the former Casa Sports attacker is now bound for Kazakhstan to showcase his talents in a new league.
During his time with Al Hilal SC, Jarjou made a significant impact, contributing to 14 goals across all competitions, with six goals scored and eight assists provided during his one-year stint with the club.
Regarded as the best player in the Senegalese Ligue 1 in 2022, Jarjou boasts a market value of β¬150,000, according to Transfermarkt. With a contract running until June 2026 with Grenoble Foot 38, his loan spell at FC Atyrau offers him an opportunity for further development and exposure on the international stage.
