Malmö FF has finalized the permanent transfer of Emmanuel Lomotey to Ethnikos Achnas FC after a successful year on loan with the Cypriot club, as per the Swedish club official website.
Lomotey, who joined Malmö FF from Amiens SC in August 2022, quickly made his mark by debuting in a Europa League playoff match against Sivasspor.
During his loan spell, Lomotey played 20 out of 26 matches, helping Ethnikos Achnas secure a tenth-place finish in the league.
Malmö FF’s sporting director, Daniel Andersson, praised Lomotey’s contributions and expressed satisfaction with the agreement, which benefits all parties involved.
“Emmanuel is a great guy who had a bit of a rough start with us during a tough 2022 season. He has done an appreciated job in Cyprus, and all three parties are satisfied with this solution. We thank Emmanuel for our time together and wish him the best of luck in his future career,” Andersson said.
