Former Gambia U20 head coach, Mattar M’Boge, is poised to make a significant move to the Danish second-division club AC Horsens, signing a three-and-a-half-year contract, according to sources from The Nerve Africa.
M’Boge, previously the Assistant Coach of the USL Championship club Loudoun United FC, is anticipated to become a crucial member of Horsens’ revamped technical team. Having joined Loudoun in 2022 following the conclusion of his contract with Gambia’s youth side, M’Boge contributed to the USL side as an assistant coach while also actively supporting the club’s development sector.
Regarded as one of Gambia’s most accomplished coaches, M’Boge boasts an impressive track record, securing victory in the WAFU U20 championship twice and guiding his team to the AFCON semifinals on two occasions during his tenure.
As new ownership takes charge at Horsens, M’Boge is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the club’s technical strategies and contributing to its continued success.
