Juventus midfielder Augusto Owusu, a rising star of Ghanaian descent, is on the verge of securing a contract extension that will keep him at the club until June 2029, Africa Foot reports via football inside Nicolo Schira.
This comes as the 20-year-old continues to impress both in Serie C and with the club’s senior team.
Over the weekend, Owusu was included in Juventus manager Thiago Motta’s squad for their Serie A clash against Bologna, marking his second call-up to the first team. While yet to make his professional debut, his performances at the youth level have convinced Juventus management of his potential to become a key player in the club’s future plans.
Italian journalist Nicolo Schira reports that Juventus has already reached an agreement with Owusu’s representatives to extend his current contract, which was initially set to expire in 2027. Barring any unexpected developments, the midfielder will soon commit to a new deal running through 2029.
