U.S. Lecce have confirmed that Assan Ceesay has reached an agreement with another Saudi Arabian Pro League club Damac FC for a move from the Italian side.
Lecce announced that Assan will go undergo medical with the Saudi club after their match on Sunday against Como in the Coppa Italia.
The Gambian striker was earlier linked to a move to Al-Fahya Club, another Saudi Pro League team but that deal failed at the last minutes. Abha FC is also in the Saudi top tier. They offered a €1 million deal for Ceesay but got rejected by Lecce.
Meanwhile, the Scorpions striker who spent just one season at Lecce after his move from FC Zürich last summer is now close to making a new chapter away from Italia to the most shoutout league in Asia.
It is not yet known how much the transfer cost, but the player’s current market value is €2.5 million, and it is proven earlier that Lecce would not settle for anything less than that.
