Gambian international striker Ali Sowe has reached an agreement with Turkish Super League club Rizespor for another loan move from Russian giants Rostov, as reported by The Nerve Africa a few days ago.
The Gambian striker will stay in Turkey for the third consecutive season, as he is expected to sign a deal with the club in the coming hours.
Ali spent the last two seasons with the recently relegated club MKE Ankaragucu on loan from his parent club amidst the Russia-Ukraine war. He ended his loan term with the Yellows this summer after scoring 22 goals and providing 7 assists in 66 matches.
The 30-year-old will now face another top-tier challenge with Rizespor in the coming season. His €1.5 million market value remains intact ahead of this temporary move, and he has a contract with Rostov until June 2025.
