Middlesborough offensive player of Nigerian descent Chuba Akpom, who was supposed to move to RC Lens, is now set to sign with Ajax Amsterdam, according to allnigeriasoccer.com.
It is understood that the Dutch side is willing to pay โฌ12 mln + โฌmln in bonuses to secure Akpom’s transfer. The Nigerian has already been permitted to travel to Amsterdam for the medicals.ย
The 27-year-old was the top scorer in the English Championship last season with 28 goals and 2 assists in 38 games and led Boro to the Championship playoff.
