Nigerian striker Abdullahi Tanko is on the verge of a loan move away from FC Baník Ostrava, with Czech club Pardubice and Slovak club FK Železiarne Podbrezová emerging as possible destinations, as per The Nerve Africa sources.
In the current Czech First League season, Tanko has struggled for game time and is enduring a long-term goal drought—key factors prompting the potential loan move during the winter transfer window.
This season, the Nigerian forward has made 13 appearances, registering one goal and one assist. In contrast, first-choice Brazilian striker Ewerton Paixão da Silva has featured in 17 league matches, scoring an impressive 10 goals. According to Transfermarkt the player’s current market value is estimated at €550,000.
The out-of-favor striker is expected to be loaned to either Pardubice or FK Železiarne Podbrezová, with the Slovak club already expressing interest in acquiring his services.
However, the final decision rests with FC Baník Ostrava’s management, who will determine the next step for the 26-year-old Nigerian striker.
