Oliver Arthur, the agent of Ghanaian star Joseph Opoku, has exclusively revealed to The Nerve Africa that game time was a key factor in the player’s recent transfer to Serbian SuperLiga side FK Radnički Niš.
The left-back joined Radnički as a free agent on a two-year deal with an option to extend further. The 20-year-old, after leaving EurAfrica FC in 2021, has primarily played in Italy for Torino’s U19 team and Serie D side Vado.
He secured his move to the Serbian club after impressing during trials.
“Joseph Opoku is young and talented, so the opportunity for game time was a major factor. It’s not easy breaking into Torino’s first team. Thankfully, Radnički Niš were impressed with his performance during the trials,” Arthur revealed in an exclusive interview with The Nerve Africa.
“I have high expectations of him. He shows his passion for the game through hard work. I hope to see Joseph playing for Ghana in the future,” he added.
Opoku is expected to become a regular fixture for the team in the coming weeks.
