Hearts of Oak are on the verge of signing Stephen Appiah Asare, the talented winger from Legon Cities, in a move that has attracted considerable interest in the Ghana Premier League, as per Ghana Soccernet.
Reports indicate that the 28-year-old Ghanaian midfielder is close to finalizing a two-year contract with the Accra-based club.
Appiah Asare, who joined Legon Cities midway through the 2023-24 season, has impressed with his performances, contributing two goals and an assist in 14 matches. His displays caught the attention of Hearts of Oak’s head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, leading to his ongoing training stint with the Phobians, where he has continued to impress the technical staff.
Although the deal is reportedly around 60% complete, it is expected to be finalized shortly. Previously, Asante Kotoko had shown interest in the winger, but with that move falling through, Hearts of Oak have moved swiftly to secure his services.
This signing is seen as a key addition for Hearts as they look to bolster their squad for the upcoming season, with Appiah Asareโs pace and attacking prowess expected to be vital on the wings.
