Kenyan youngster Job Nguono Ochieng will join Spanish Segunda (second division) club Sociedad Deportiva (SD) Huesca on a season-long loan deal from Real Sociedad B, The Nerve Africa sources have exclusively learned.
The development comes after Huesca and Real Sociedad B reached a compromise over the terms of the loan deal for the 21-year-old. Huesca will have an option to sign the player on a permanent deal at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
Speaking to The Nerve Africa, a source at Ochieng’s agency, Global Ases, disclosed that the player, currently in preseason with the Real Sociedad senior team, has agreed to the deal and will have his medicals at Huesca on Wednesday.
“It’s a done deal. Job (Ochieng) will play in the Segunda next season at Huesca, but it’s subject to passing his medical on Wednesday in Aragon. After the loan, they will have an option to sign him, but we’ll also consider other options, depending on his performance. We are confident he’ll show his abilities.”
Ochieng, whose transfer value is estimated at β¬50,000 by Transfermarkt, still has two years on his contract with Real Sociedad B. He is expected to further grow his market value under the guardianship of Huesca manager and former Spanish international Antonio Hidalgo.
Before joining Real Sociedad B, the attacker, who can operate as both a left and right winger, spent three seasons with Spanish lower league side Club Deportivo Maspalomas. That was before his juvenile years at Kenyan side Ligi Ndogo SC.
