Ghanaian international goalkeeper Jordan Amissah is reportedly on the verge of becoming a free agent as his contract is set to expire on June 30, 2024, according to Africa Foot.
Amissah is currently in discussions with several clubs that could provide him with ample playing opportunities
One of the prominent clubs showing keen interest in Amissah is Schalke 04. The German side is said to be in continuous contact with the goalkeeper, eyeing him as a potential replacement for Mickael Langer and Ralf Fährmann, both of whom are expected to depart this summer.
Negotiations between Amissah and Schalke 04 are still ongoing, with reports suggesting that a 4-year contract, plus an optional additional year, is being considered. This season, Amissah did not make any appearances for Sheffield United.
Previously a goalkeeper for Borussia Dortmund, Amissah could soon find himself back in Germany. His market value is estimated at €250,000 on Transfermarkt, but as a free agent, there would be no transfer fee involved. At 22 years old, Amissah is poised to embark on a new chapter in his promising career.
