Simba SC, one of Tanzania’s top football clubs, is reportedly nearing a deal to sign Derrick Fordjour, the dynamic forward from Ghana’s Medeama SC, according Ghana Soccernet.
Msimbazi Lions prepare to bolster their squad for the 2024-25 season, with negotiations said to be at an advanced stage. There are no financial details at the moment, but Transfermarkt estimates the player’s current market value at €125,000.
Fordjour, 21, has been a key figure in Medeama’s success, particularly during their 2022-23 Ghana Premier League championship run where he contributed two goals and five assists across 27 matches.
His influence was also pivotal in Medeama’s historic journey to the group stage of the CAF Champions League, featuring in all six qualifying matches.
With 19 appearances in the current season, Fordjour continues to impress, adding one goal and two assists to his tally.
