In a significant move for both player and club, Ghanaian defender Dennis Duah has signed with German club SG Dynamo Dresden for the upcoming 2024/25 season, Ghana Soccernet reports.
The 20-year-old center-back, transfers from Bundesliga II team Hamburger SV where he showed promising talent. During his tenure with Hamburger SV’s second team, Duah made 71 appearances in the Regionalliga Nord, gaining attention for his strong and dynamic style of play. His physical prowess and tactical speed have been highlighted as key attributes that will enhance Dynamo Dresden’s defensive line.
David Fischer, Dynamo Dresden’s Communications Director, praised Duah’s abilities, noting his impressive athleticism and robust tackling skills.
“Dennis is not only physically capable but also brings a wealth of experience and leadership qualities at a young age,” Fischer commented.
Furthet he also emphasized the club’s intention to develop Duah’s potential further as they aim for promotion.
Born in Hagenow to Ghanaian parents, Duah began his football journey with VfL Lohbrügge, later moving to St Pauli before joining Hamburger SV. With Dynamo Dresden currently in fourth place in the Bundesliga III and eyeing a spot in Bundesliga II, Duah’s arrival is timely as the club strengthens its squad for a promotion push.
