Will Daniel-Kofi Kyereh Stay in Bundesliga? Salary and Prospects of the Ghanaian Midfielder

In two years at SC Freiburg, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh has played fewer than 20 matches due to a serious cruciate ligament injury. While the German team competes for European tournaments, the Ghanaian defender is trying to return to the pitch and convince the club to extend his contract.

Daniel-Kofi Kyereh’s Salary at SC Freiburg

The Ghanaian midfielder joined the German team in the summer of 2022, with a contract running until June 30, 2024. For the remaining season in Germany, he will receive €360,000, excluding bonuses, amounting to €6,923 per week.

By the time he moved to SV Wehen Wiesbaden, the midfielder’s transfer value had increased sixfold. Daniel-Kofi Kyereh debuted for the senior Ghanaian national team in 2021. A year later, he participated first in the African Nations Cup and then in the World Cup with the national team. The Ghanaians failed to advance to the playoffs in both tournaments. After the trip to Qatar in 2022, the Ghanaian footballer has not been called up to the national team. In total, Kyereh has played 18 matches for the national team, without registering any goal involvements.

Football and Financial Prospects

Due to the injury sustained last winter, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh has not played a single match in the 2023/2024 season. Additionally, due to recovery from surgery, the midfielder missed the African Nations Cup in Côte d’Ivoire. It remains unclear when the Ghanaian footballer will return to the field.
