Market Value: Decline Due to Cruciate Ligament Injury
Over four years in the Regionalliga Nord, the Ghanaian became the top scorer for TSV Havelse in the 2017/2018 season. By the time he moved to SV Wehen Wiesbaden, the midfielder’s transfer value had increased sixfold. In his debut season in Wiesbaden, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh set a personal record with 25 goal involvements, helping the team to promotion to the 2. Bundesliga. His transfer sum then tripled. To stay in the second league, the Ghanaian moved to FC St. Pauli the following season: by then, his value had increased more than 1.5 times.
Thanks to two quality seasons at St. Pauli and a bright debut at SC Freiburg, Kyereh’s transfer sum increased more than 10.5 times, reaching its peak. However, in the winter of 2023, the Ghanaian tore his cruciate ligament.ย
Due to the serious injury, he missed the rest of the previous season and has not played in the current one. The Ghanaian footballer’s transfer value nearly halved: currently, Transfermarkt values him at โฌ5 million. Despite this, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh ranks ninth among the most valuable players of the German club, tied with Germans Christian Gunter and Merlin Rohl.

National Team Achievements
Daniel-Kofi Kyereh debuted for the senior Ghanaian national team in 2021. A year later, he participated first in the African Nations Cup and then in the World Cup with the national team. The Ghanaians failed to advance to the playoffs in both tournaments. After the trip to Qatar in 2022, the Ghanaian footballer has not been called up to the national team. In total, Kyereh has played 18 matches for the national team, without registering any goal involvements.
Football and Financial Prospects
Due to the injury sustained last winter, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh has not played a single match in the 2023/2024 season. Additionally, due to recovery from surgery, the midfielder missed the African Nations Cup in Cรดte d’Ivoire. It remains unclear when the Ghanaian footballer will return to the field. If Kyereh does not play for SC Freiburg this season, there is a chance the club will not extend his contract.
