Defender Derick Afeson Boateng has officially made the move to Finnish football, signing with the third-tier club PEPO Lappeenranta, as per Ghana Soccernet.
Boateng, 24, made the switch on a free transfer following his departure from Ghana Premier League team Aduana Stars. His football journey saw him signing with Aduana in April 2020, having played for Tamale Liberty and FC Samartex 1996 prior to that.
Over his time with Aduana Stars, Boateng tallied 54 appearances in Ghana’s top-flight league, contributing significantly throughout his tenure, including nine appearances in the current season.
