Ghanaian forward Maxwell Baakoh has inked a noteworthy deal with Algerian club MC Oran, making a significant move from USM Khenchela. The transfer marks a domestic record fee of €300,000, highlighting the player’s growing stature, as per Ghana Soccernet.
Baakoh, who formerly played for Asante Kotoko SC, caught the attention of MC Oran after delivering an outstanding performance in the Algerian Ligue 1. The 28-year-old showcased his prowess with four goals in 11 appearances during the 2022/2023 season with USM Khenchela.
His new contract with MC Oran not only secures his place in the squad but also elevates him to one of the highest-paid players in Algeria, commanding a monthly salary of €20,000.
