Zambian defensive midfielder Golden Mafwenta has shed light on his future aspirations while addressing the persistent transfer rumors swirling around him.Β
Currently plying his trade with MFK Vykov in the Czech Republic, Mafwenta, valued at β¬175,000 by the Transfermarkt, expressed his commitment to his current club but hinted that a move to a new European club could be on the horizon.
The 22-year-old player, who also doubles as a center back, has emerged as a pivotal figure for Vykov, featuring in 15 matches this season. Despite calls from fans urging him to make a leap to a bigger club, Mafwenta emphasized that he is dedicated to Vykov and is focused on developing his career with the team.
“I am committed to Vykov,” Mafwenta told The Nerve Africa, “I will think about moving to a different club later but not now.”
Currently on loan from MSL Next Pro side Real Monarchs SLC, Mafwenta expressed satisfaction with his development at Vykov. “I am happy here, and I think itβs good for my development, but of course, I will consider joining a different club later,” he added.
With his loan tenure set to conclude at the end of the season, Mafwenta’s performances have not gone unnoticed.
