Zambia Super League powerhouse ZANACO has officially confirmed the return of seasoned striker Rodger Kola, ZamFoot reports.Β
The veteran forward has inked a one-year deal with the club, marking his third stint with the Bankers.
Kola, 34, rejoins ZANACO after a brief hiatus from the football scene following the conclusion of his contract with Tanzanian outfit Azam FC last year. His return to the Zambian side comes with a wealth of experience, having previously donned the ZANACO jersey between 2018 and 2021.
The signing of Kola highlights ZANACO’s ambition during the mid-season transfer window, with the striker becoming the fifth addition to the squad. Alongside Kola, the club has secured the return of Zimbabwean midfielder Tafadzwa Rusike, adding depth and talent to their roster.
Joining Kola and Rusike are midfielder Robert Saizi from Malawi, Cameroonian striker Vandelin Eloundou, and midfielder Saviour Phiri, further bolstering ZANACO’s squad for upcoming challenges.
Excitement surrounds Kola’s return as he gears up for immediate action, having been included in the squad for today’s highly anticipated match against Konkola Blades in Chillilabombwe. With an illustrious career that has seen him ply his trade across various clubs including F.C. Ashdod, Gent, and Golden Arrows, Kola brings a wealth of experience and firepower to ZANACO’s frontline.
As ZANACO fans eagerly anticipate Kola’s impact on the pitch once again, his return signals a strong statement of intent from the club in their pursuit of success in the Zambia Super League.
