Zambian defender Frankie Musonda is drawing interest from clubs in Belgium following his departure from Scottish side Ayr United, Footy-Africa reports.
Musonda, 27, became a free agent this month after his contract with Ayr expired. He recently traveled to Belgium with his agent, though no formal meetings with clubs took place.
“There is interest from Belgian clubs, and his agent is working to secure a move soon. Belgium is a priority—that’s why he traveled there,” a source told Footy-Africa.
Musonda joined Ayr United in 2022 and made 71 appearances—the most in his club career—scoring five goals and providing three assists. However, injuries hampered his final season, limiting him to just 16 games and ruling him out of Zambia’s recent 5–0 loss to Russia.
A move to Belgium could offer the Brentford-born defender a fresh start as he looks to revive his form and fitness.
