VfL Bochum has bolstered its attacking lineup by signing Ghanaian-Dutch striker Myron Boadu on a one-year loan from AS Monaco, as per the German club’s official website.
The 23-year-old forward, who holds both Ghanaian and Dutch heritage, joins the Bundesliga side after spending the previous season on loan at FC Twente in the Eredivisie.
The deal between Bochum and Monaco includes an option for the club to purchase him permanently at the end of the season. According to Transfermarkt the player’s current value estimates at €5 million.
Boadu began his football journey at AZ Alkmaar, where he progressed through the youth ranks and made an immediate impact in the Eredivisie. His impressive performances earned him a call-up to the Dutch national team under coach Ronald Koeman.
Following a successful stint at AZ, where he scored 29 goals over two seasons, Boadu moved to AS Monaco in 2021. During his time in Ligue 1, he netted eight goals and contributed an assist before returning to the Eredivisie on loan.
