Reigning champions of the Ghana Premier League, have shown a keen interest in signing Salifu Ibrahim, the standout midfielder from Accra-based Hearts of Oak, Ghana Soccernet reports.
Salifu, who has been the key player of his team since his transfer from Eleven Wonders in February 2021, is nearing the end of his contract which expires this season.
Despite Hearts of Oak’s attempts to retain him by proposing an enhanced salary, the 23-year-old is reportedly contemplating a move.
Medeama SC has made a competitive offer to Salifu, hoping to add his skills to their squad for the 2024/25 season. Their attractive salary proposal places them ahead in the race to secure his signature, especially among other interested clubs like Nations FC and Asante Kotoko.
Salifu’s contributions have been significant this season, with two goals and nine assists in 27 appearances. His decision is highly anticipated as negotiations continue, with Medeama SC looking to strengthen their team by acquiring one of Ghana’s most promising midfield talents.
