After weeks of speculation, recently relegated English club Leicester City have made official contact with Swedish top-flight side IF Brommapojkarna over the potential signing of Ghanaian forward Ezekiel Alladoh, as per Africa Foot.Β
The 19-year-old has been on the radar of several Premier League clubs, including Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers, but it is the Foxes who have taken the first formal step toward securing his signature at the King Power Stadium.
Last month, a source close to Alladohβs agency, S&E, told Africa Foot that no club had yet made contact with Brommapojkarna. However, the situation has since changed. A new update confirms that Leicester City made an initial approach last Friday.
βLeicester have become the first team to formally express interest in Ezekiel (Alladoh). They want to move quickly, knowing that Crystal Palace and others have scouted him this season. The club [Brommapojkarna] are open to selling, but only for the right offer. They expect more teams to submit bids,β the source revealed.
Alladoh joined IF Brommapojkarna from Ghanaian side Accra Lions FC, where he progressed from their U19 ranks to the senior team. Since arriving in Sweden, he has impressed with his performances in the Allsvenskan.
So far this season, the young attacker has scored five goals and provided one assist in 13 appearances across the league and Swedish Cup. Prior to his move, he tallied three goals and two assists in 14 games for Accra Lions.
With a current estimated market value of β¬250,000 on Transfermarkt, Alladoh is viewed as one of Ghanaβs most promising young talents in Europe. His rapid rise, technical skill, and positional versatility suggest that a call-up to the Black Stars is only a matter of time.
