KCCA FC are set to complete the signing of Ivan Ahimbisibwe, the second-highest scorer in the 2024/25 Uganda Premier League season, Footy-Africa reports.
The 29-year-old forward has chosen not to extend his contract with URA FC, which expires on June 30, instead opting to join the 13-time league champions as they attempt to end a six-season trophy drought.
A source from Prosper Sports Agency, which represents Ahimbisibwe, revealed that the deal is already done, with only the official unveiling pending.
โIvan has already signed for KCCA, but the announcement will come after his URA contract officially ends. The new coach, Brian Ssenyondo, knows him well from their UPDF FC days and sees him as key to the clubโs attack next season,โ the source told Footy-Africa.
Ahimbisibwe netted 16 goals and added two assists in 29 matches this past season. He also impressed in the 2023/24 campaign with 11 goals and three assists. Despite multiple call-ups to Ugandaโs national team, The Cranes, he has made just three appearances so far.
