Highly rated Sierra Leone defender Abdulay Juma Bah is set to leave La Liga side Real Valladolid, where he is currently on loan, to join the reigning Italian champions Inter Milan. This follows a series of talks in recent days regarding a potential transfer, The Nerve Africa has exclusively learned.
The development comes amidst interest from English Premier League champions Manchester City, who expressed their desire to sign the 18-year-old last week. However, they have yet to make a formal bid to his parent club, AIK Freetong FC, which competes in the Sierra Leone Premier League.
Bah’s impressive performances in Spain this season have attracted interest from top clubs across Europe, including Crystal Palace, Barcelona, and Newcastle United. Nevertheless, Inter Milan currently leads the race, with an agreement expected to be finalized in the coming days.
Sources within Bah’s representatives, Global Soccer Management, disclosed that Inter Milan officials have initiated contact and are actively negotiating to secure the player’s transfer.
βAt this moment, Inter Milan has shown the most interest and is moving quickly. They are also willing to meet the asking price of β¬15 million, believing the fee could increase significantly by June. Manchester City hasn’t followed up since their initial contact, and Barcelona has not made an official approach yet. For now, Inter Milan appears to be the most likely destination for Juma Bah,β a source revealed in an exclusive interview with The Nerve Africa.
Despite making just 11 senior team appearances for Real Valladolid in La Liga and the Copa del Rey during his debut season, Bah is widely regarded as one of the most promising young defenders in Europe.
On the international stage, Bah has yet to make a senior appearance for the Sierra Leone national team. However, he is expected to feature in the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualification matches against Guinea-Bissau and Egypt in March.
