Ghanaian centre-back Charles Baah says he is βecstaticβ after completing a permanent transfer to Swedish second-tier side GIF Sundsvall.
The 19-year-old joined the club from Ghanaβs Division One outfit Attram De Visser, signing a four-year contract that signals a long-term commitment to the Superettan side.
Baah initially joined Sundsvall on a trial basis and earned the deal after impressing the coaching staff with his performances and attitude during his stint.
βI feel ecstatic to be here. For me, itβs a dream come true. I saw this in my sleep every night, and Iβll say Iβm grateful to God. Itβs been a wonderful experience so farβthe coaches, my teammates, the staffβitβs amazing,β Baah said in an exclusive with The Nerve Africa.
The young defender also expressed confidence in his adaptation to the new environment and shared his ambition to contribute to the teamβs goals.
βIβm adapting well and hopefully I can help the team to reach our goals this season,β he added.
GIF Sundsvall are currently top of the Superettan table with three points after the opening round of matches, and Baah will be hoping to play a key role in maintaining the clubβs strong start to the campaign.
