Promising 25-year-old Gambian striker Alassana Jatta is poised to join Notts County Football Club in English League Two, according to The Nerve Africa sources. The move comes after a successful agreement was reached between Notts County and Danish Superliga side Viborg FF.
Jatta, known for his prowess on the field, attracted interest from several clubs, including a tempting offer from Norwegian club Kristiansund BK. However, Notts County emerged victorious in the race for his signature, securing the talented striker’s services.
The decision to leave Viborg FF stems from Jatta’s desire for more playing time, and England is set to be his next footballing destination. Having scored an impressive 25 goals in 105 appearances for Viborg, the 25-year-old striker’s contract with the Danish club is set to conclude in June 2024.
Despite facing substantial interest from other clubs, Jatta is now on the verge of sealing a move to Notts County for a reported fee of β¬130,000. The deal seems more than reasonable for Notts County, regarding the fact that Transfermarkt estimates the playerβs current value at β¬400,000.
The Gambian forward is expected to travel to the United Kingdom in the coming hours to finalize the deal and join the ranks of Notts County as they pursue success in the English League Two.
