Modou Camara, the Gambian defender, has parted ways with Polish top-tier club Arka Gdynia by mutual agreement, marking the end of his 11-month stint with the team, as per The Nerve Africa.Β
Camara’s time with Arka began in February 2023, but shortly after joining, he was loaned to Unia Solec Kujawski, where he showcased his agility in 11 matches, contributing a goal during his 11-month loan spell.
The 25-year-old defender, who previously played for Hawks FC in the Gambian first division, signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Arka Gdynia following a successful trial. Despite his potential, Camara also embarked on a brief loan period with another Polish second-division club, Olimpia Grudz, before returning to Arka for further deliberation.
With a market value of β¬25,000 according to Transfermarkt, Camara’s departure from Arka signals a potential return to his homeland, The Gambia, where he may seek opportunities to reignite his career with a local league team with no transfer fee.
