Zambian forward Francisco Mwepu has expressed to the Nerve Africa his readiness to explore new opportunities once his loan spell at Atletico Sanluqueño concludes.
The 23-year-old Zambian striker, currently on loan from La Liga’s Càdiz CF to the Spanish Division 3 side, shared his ambitions to take a step forward in his career.
Despite being a Cadiz player with a contract extension until 2026, Mwepu emphasized his openness to a move if Cadiz decides against retaining him after the loan period. Having impressed with seven goals in nine appearances for Sanluqueño, the striker is attracting attention from potential suitors.
Mwepu told the Nerve Africa, “I am a Cadiz player, but if there is any club that will approach me, I am willing to make a move as long as Cadiz does not want to keep me after my loan here.”
The Zambian, who is valued at €300,000 according to Transfermarkt, is eager to explore new opportunities if they arise.
He highlighted the motivation behind his loan move to Sanluqueño, stating, “What made me make this move is that I needed game time because the more you play, the more other teams will watch and see what you can do.” He expressed his commitment to Cadiz but remained open to offers from other clubs.
Mwepu’s successful season at Sanluqueño has fueled his aspiration to return to the elite level of football. While content with his progress, he remains focused on making a lasting impression, whether with Cadiz or potentially a different club in the future.
